Promo Productions Entertainment and DJ Kenny The Promo Guy kicked off the 2012 wedding season with a fabulous reception and ceremony celebrating the marriage of Haley Youngkrans and Jeromy Fitch at the historic Dibbles Inn in Vernon, NY.

Haley and Jeromy each had special visions of their wedding day. As with all our clients we found a way to encompass their ideas and create an event their friends and family will be talking about for years to come.

Haley wanted to use the color purple in many aspects at the reception. There were purple flowers, purple dresses, purple in the cake and our added touch: purple uplighting to help the room glow.  This was the first time we were able to use all our uplighting to help change the landscape of the room. As you can see below and in our pictures it looked incredible.

Jeromy plays in a band and wanted to incorporate some non-traditional music into the cocktail and dinner hour.  Being a guy who is into 90′s rock we were able to work artists like Dishwalla, Blind Melon, Cake, Cracker, The Meatpuppets, Third Eye Blind and Spacehog into the mix. It hit the spot with the younger crowd and provided an unique sound to those who know his love of music. At just the right volume everything was perfect!

After a beautiful ceremony guests were treated to cocktail hour with a huge candy bar display in the lobby outside the Silver room. The Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups were the biggest hit of the evening….

The wedding party, including parents of the bride and groom, were introduced to Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. Everyone rose to their feet and gave Haley and Jeromy a standing ovation as they entered the room to Wherever I May Roam by Metallica. Their first dance was Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. Following the first dance there were two great toasts by Maid of Honor Taylor and Best Man Pete.  Haley’s father Scott then provided the blessing before everyone indulged on a wonderful buffet at Dibbles Inn (we too can attest it was incredibly delicious).

After dinner it was time for the Father/Daughter dance which Scott dedicated to Haley in honor of her aunt Bonnie Jean who passed away last Fall. They danced to Jean by Jimmy Dean.  Jeromy and his mom Julie then danced to The Man You’ve Become by Molly Pasutti.

The wedding cake, designed by Haley and created by Kerwin’s Cakes in Oneida, again featured the color purple but had a great added touch: the musical notes from their first dance.

After the cake cutting and garter/bouquet toss it was time to party and dance.  Once people started dancing they never really sat down. Everyone was going crazy to a wide array of music picked out by Haley and Jeromy. Words can’t describe the energy that came across the floor.

Congratulations once again to Haley and Jeromy. We wish you the best in the future! We also want to thank Barb and the staff at Dibbles Inn for taking such good care of us and helping create a memorable day.

How many people can honestly say they attend over 40 weddings per year? As a wedding entertainer I get a behind the scenes look at many couples receptions hours before the guests arrive. One of the things I always pay special attention to is the Guest Book.

I have seen many unique ideas including guest book plates, wishing trees, photo frames with custom messages and photo booths where the pics are then put into a book with a hand written message.

Would you ever consider River Rocks or a thumbprint guest book? What about a Fill-In-The-Blanks guest book? A mad-lib where guests can fill in wedding advice? These are some great alternatives I found compared to a traditional guest book.
