I hear it all too often when I meet with clients…. The groom says “it’s her wedding, she can do whatever she wants” or “all I care about is the food and the drink, she can handle the rest”.

Those are just two of the many dangerous sets of quotes that have filtered in the air in either the initial consultation or final detail planning discussion.

I call it the “he says, she hears” approach to a wedding. In many cases, he says nothing, acts uninterested or can’t help his bride to make up her mind.  (That’s not how you score points fellas).

The latest bone of contention between couples seems to be over wedding colors.  Thanks to the folks at Bridetide you can use the chart below to see exactly what I mean…

Promo Productions Entertainment’s 2012 Spring Wedding season continued with Tiffany and Curt’s Wedding Reception at the Beeches on Saturday, April 14th with DJ Kenny The Promo Guy.

We first met Tiffany when she was a chaperone at the Holland Patent prom a couple of years ago. I’ll never forget one of our first conversations before she booked our services for her wedding.  She was worried that we’d play the music we play at proms at her wedding. After assuring her that these are two totally different style events for us we were good to go.

Tiffany and Curt went with a simple but sharp black and white color theme for their tables and the room decor.   Guests were greeted with a wonderful cocktail hour that featured passed hors d’oeuvres along with fruit, cheese and vegetable displays.

Introductions featured a variety of songs for the wedding party…. Parents/moms were welcomed into the party by Natalie Cole’s “This Will Be… (an everlasting love).  The wedding party walked into Forever by Chris Brown and Curt/Tiffany started their grand introduction with “Bring’em Out” by Jay-Z/TI which was mixed back into Forever.  The first dance was “God Gave Me You” by Blake Shelton.

After a delicious dinner it was time to cut the cake and throw the garter/bouquet. From there it was time to party and dance.

Tiffany and Curt used our online planning tools to provide  us with a wide variety of musical selections from the 60′s to today.

Guests were also able to share some laughs and create wedding memories in the Photo Booth that Tiffany and Curt had on display from AJ’s Photography in New Hartford.  Tiffany and Curt went home with some funny photos and words of wisdom inside the photo book they received at the end of the party.

Photos were taken by AJ’s Photography in New Hartford.  You can see over 330 images from Curt and Tiffany’s special day by clicking here.

I know it has been a while since I posted to the blog.  I decided to take a few weekends off from entertaining as we’ve been busy with Operation Baby Owen the past few weeks.  The last thing I wanted to do was be at an event and have the baby arrive while I wasn’t there.

Well…. he hasn’t arrived yet and at this point is keeping mommy and daddy in suspense. The good news is the doctor says we’re less a week away whether he likes it or not.

The 2012 Wedding Season fires back up on March 24th and continues thru the end of November at this point.  I am happy to announce we have several clients who have chosen Promo Productions Entertainment for their 2013 weddings as well.

I’ll keep everyone updated as to the arrival of the newest member of the Promo Productions Entertainment family when he arrives. KTPG
