To Throw Or Not To Throw….

Monday, April 27th, 2009

One of the more common questions asked by my potential clients is: Do people still do a Garter/Bouquet Toss???

The simple answer is not like they used to.  I tell my clients in our pre-interview that times have changed and people have changed and that people have gone farther and farther away from the “traditional” wedding events.  I rarely have people who want to engage in the Garter/Bouquet Toss as we know it.

Some clients have opted out of it because they don’t have many single friends attending.  Others have eliminated it because they feel it is old fashioned or an event that takes so long for everyone to get on the floor (they would rather spend that time dancing vs waiting for people to come out to the floor).

One of the more common solutions is to have a “Girl’s Only” bouquet toss that is open to any lady in attendance.  We have also had several brides give their bouquet to a special relative, one who has earned special recognition by the bride and groom.  I have several different ideas I offer to clients who are looking for something unique.

This is not to say it can’t be done or won’t be done by us.  We work for our clients and follow their wishes in creating a dream day.    Interested in finding out more?  Feel free to give me a call or use the Contact Us form online.

How To Get Your Guests On The Dance Floor….

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

I found this article online and wanted to share….

Let’s face it, your guests are looking forward to dancing at your wedding reception.  Some bride and groom’s are NOT dancers, but they want to watch their guests have a good time.

Here’s the trick to encouraging your wedding guests to get their groove on. Actually get on the dance floor with them!

It’s not that complicated. Your guests will be where ever you are. So if you are sitting in the back, outside drinking or mingling in a different room; that is where they will gravitate. Don’t blame your DJ. And don’t act like you are going to be judged like on “Dancing with the Stars”.  Have fun….shake your booty and enjoy yourself. And so will your guests.
